• Through the Association, we as individual members & member clubs, gain the strength of a unified voice.
• Through the Association, our efforts in Land Use Issues, Events, Trails decisions & directions, and other interest's are consolidated, direct and effective. The Association is You & I working for the betterment of our sport.
• As an individual member or thru a member club you become a greater part of the 4-wheel drive community.

Through a united effort we:

• Promote responsible use of public lands.
• Prevent legislation that would restrict off-road vehicle and vehicle use.
• Develop programs of conservation, education and safety.
• Encourage state and federal agencies to develop new four wheel drive trails and preserve existing ones.
• Distribute information to (and collect from) vehicle-orientated recriminations.
• Promote statewide activities and four wheel drive events for the enjoyment of members.

• As a member you receive a membership card, decals, and a dash plaque.
• You will receive monthly publication of the IN GEAR. This contains information about club activities, legislation, events, trails and 4WD products.
• Eligibility to participate in all Association-sponsored events.
• The right to representation for voting on Association matters through either your Club, Individual or Associate member delegate.
• Special information "Alerts" on land use matters and related issues.
• Availability of our list of Associate Members (many of whom provide discounts to members)
• Access to CA4WDC annual Club Directory.
• Access to the Association Video Library through the Sacramento office.
• Eligibility to join the Sierra Central Credit Union.

Membership Categories...

We invite you to join us. The CA4WDC offers several types of membership. To decide which one is right for you, take a look at the following categories, SLO 4-Wheelers members, complete the linked application form, enclose your dues and mail (MAKE NOTE you are joining as a member of the SLO 4-Wheelers club.
Non -SLO 4-WHEELER please go directly to the VISIT the CA4WDC membership page!
• INDIVIDUAL These members support 4-wheeling without belonging to a club. 4WD vehicle ownership is not required. COST $45.00
• CLUB Our member clubs include any number of vehicles and usually the whole family. Lists of clubs in your area are available from the office. COST $45.00
• ASSOCIATE These are businesses and other organizations who support and promote 4WD recreation. Contact the office for various classes of membership and dues schedule. COST $45.00 and up
• LIFE MEMBERSHIP These members are especially concerned about the future of 4-wheeling. A one time fee of fifteen (15) times the current dues amount for the applicable class of membership. An installment plan is available. COST $675.00
• Note:$10.00 of all memberships go to a one year subscription to the IN GEAR, our monthly newspaper
