SLO County 4WD Club

is proud to announce

Coyote Lake / Swamp Lake
         High Sierras Run

Tom A. C.-Trail Boss August 23rd 24th & 25th

  • Beautiful Trees Big Rocks and Crystal Clear Lakes call for video if you would like a taste.
  • Vehicle and Driving Skill Challenge
  • Kings River and Pineridge Ranger District, Shaver Lake Fresno area
  • 2.5 Hours from Fresno, Some people do it in an hour, others in 6 hours
  • No Bathrooms ( unless you call a shack a Bathroom ) No Reservations,
  • No McDonald's, No Room Service,
  • No Wimps, No Snivelers, No Noise
  • All the BEAUTY you can imagine, but at a price! That's right there is a catch. These trails are not for the faint at heart. If you fear body damage don't go. There is about 50% chance of getting body damage in a 67" body width or less 4WD and a 80% chance in a 77" body width or less 4WD. If your wondering it is 78.5 inches between 2 precious trees that I became very fond of last year ( my Blazer is 77" wide).
  • You will need extra parts for when you break down or a buddy system.
  • Please make every effort to prepare your vehicle for severe duty. Either fix at home or you will be fixing it on the trail and that is not fun at all.
  • This will be a buffet style run, some will travel on Friday evening, some on Saturday. On the return trip some will be leaving Coyotee Lake Sunday and others will carry on to Swamp Lake for another day.
  • I will be leading the group from Atascadero on Friday evening and returning from Swamp Monday afternoon. I am very flexible as long as we all can enjoy the Sierras.
