I will be leading the group from Atascadero on Friday evening
and returning from Swamp Monday afternoon. I am very flexible
as long as we all can enjoy the Sierras.
Friday Caravan
August 22nd
- Departure 5pm Carrows Restaurant in Atascadero, ETA 11pm Trial
head of Red Lake ( nearest intersection168 and 8S10) above Shaver
Lake.
Saturday
August 23rd
- There will be a safety drivers meeting Saturday Morning at
8:00am at the trail head of Red Lake (168 and 8S10) . Once we
hit the trail our next stop will be Red Lake for a hot dog. From
the Trail Head to Red Lake it is @ 2 miles and will probably take
a couple of hours to get there. If everything goes smooth we should
be in Coyotee Lake by 3pm. Fishing and Hiking will be a nice
way to end the day.
Sunday
August 24th
- I plan on enjoying the area and doing a little fishing early
in the morning and some will be planning on leaving by noon to
head back to civilization. In the afternoon I will be leading
who is ever left to Swamp Lake. This trail is rated the most difficult
in the area and last year was a blast. The trail is long and difficult.
I am glad I have not done my body work yet! It will be FUN!
Monday
August 25th
- After another fine evening in the Sierras and the grand smell
of the Pine trees in the morning, we will be heading back to Shaver

for more fun in the Sierras.
