We had a great turnout for the Adopt-A-Highway cleanup on May 21, 2016, despite having to be in Santa Margarita at 7:30AM.

CalTrans provided some sturdy bags, stylish ANSI vests with matching helmets, some gloves, really cool trash grabbers, and even ingenious little pieces of PVC to hold the bags open.

We spread out all over Santa Margarita on Highway 58 and found surprisingly little trash. However, Terry did find a rather heavy (but deceased) gopher snake.

Thanks Tom for organizing this and to all who showed up and made quick work out of the job. We were done by 9AM is promised.
