      California Association of 4WD Clubs' annual convention. The 53rd Annual CA4WDC Convention to be held this year at the Courtyard by Marriott 9619 Mariposa Rd, Hesperia, CA. 92345. This location was selected by the convention chairs for the proximity to the legendary Johnson Valley OHV area along with the world famous �Hammers." The theme for the convention will be a �Tribute to Johnson Valley.�

      Run up to local trail Saturday. Meet at La Panza campground by 10:15 am. Planned Lunch at the top of Stairsteps then most will turn around and come back out. CB channel 4/Eric is recommending at last (1) limited slip & 30" tires AND a tow point. Body / brush damage normally not a problem on this trail.

      CANCELLED due to rain-To be rescheduled...
      Please meet at the Pozo ranger station sat April 14th 9.00am. Plan to leave for trail head at 9.15. For those who may be coming from the south county area and that are coming up high mountain rd. you can meet at the trail head at 9.30 am and the group will meet you there.
      Vehicle: recommend at 31�s and at least a limited slip.
      This trail is well overgrown and may cause paint damage.
      Wear long sleeve shirt and long pants, gloves a hat sunblock etc. Bring water, drinks a lunch and snacks.
      We will be cutting back brush would recommend chain saws, hedge trimmers, loppers and whatever else to trim and cut brush.
      Note: if high mountain rd. is closed the trail maintenance will be held at Pine Mountain trail. Same requirement without

  • May 11-13th -Molina Ghost Run:
      Annual CA4WDC event to be held at Hollister Hills SVRA Upper Ranch near Hollister, CA. Runs include a Saturday run with one locker required that includes harder trails and obstacles, a Saturday run with no lockers required and easier trails, and a Saturday SUV run. Registration is $45 per vehicle for CA4WDC members, or $55 per vehicle for non-members and includes one run on Saturday, one dinner, a dash plaque, and one raffle ticket.

  • May 19th -SLO 4-Wheelers Spring Fling:
      Annual Event-This year will be a Wildflower Run to California Valley across the Temblor Range to Maricopa and back. Runs include a Saturday run, Club will provide tri-tip sandwiches. Members please bring a potluck dish to share. Run approx 225 miles round trip.
      It is important to RSVP thru the Clubs eail list so we know how much meat to buy!

  • May 25-27 - 41st Hi Desert Round-Up -Memorial Day Weekend
      Annual CA4WDC "Hi Desert Round-up" is ON! A fund raising event for California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs Inc. The event is four days of off-roading, games, food and fun. The Hi Desert Round-up will be held at Anderson Dry Lake in Johnson Valley. It is a popular fun-filled getaway weekend for singles, couples and families who enjoy camping, four-wheeling, playing games, winning prizes and just going out to relax away from the city. The terrain is from sandy to extremely rocky, from flat washes to monster hills so be prepared for some great four-wheeling fun.

  • August 9-12th- Sierra Trek
      Sierra Trek is the granddaddy of California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs events. It is held in northern California near Truckee. The short wheelbase event goes over the famous Fordyce Trail, which is sure to test even the best drivers and their rigs. There are also moderate runs and an SUV historical tour.

  • August 17, 2012 Friday Hot El Camino Cruise Nite Tentative

      The City of Atascadero's is hosting the 20th annual Hot El Camino Cruise Nite on Friday, August 17th , 2012, from 6:30 - 8:30pm. Hot El Camino Cruise Nite is a closed, controlled cruise route on El Camino Real from Curbaril to Traffic Way in Atascadero. Thousands of spectators come out to watch this fun, entertaining, and family-oriented show. From old fashioned favorites, to new and flashy hot rods, this event brings out the best cars from all over the county and surrounding areas.

  • September 1-2 -High Sierra Poker Run :
      Annual CA4WDC event . The Central District is pleased to sponsor this CA4WDC fund raiser and we hope that more wheelers will make this part of their Labor Day plans. We are experiencing growth in the number of participants and volunteers. Since the Swamp Lake Run is limited to fifty rigs, be sure to sign up early if you are interested in this run. We will have on-site registration, but our hosts, the High Sierra Ranger District of the Sierra National Forest, is very committed to protecting these trails for all to enjoy in the future.
      Oversized vehicles are not recommended on Swamp Lake Trail. Camping equipment and food required for overnight run. SUV run to Bald Mountain available on Saturday or Sunday. Traction aiding differentials in either front or rear will be required for Swamp Lake Trail.
