I've lived in SLO county since 1948. I bought my first 4x4 (1960 CJ5) in 1963 and have had one, sometimes three at a time, ever since. I've been on the Rubicon 12 times and almost every off road trail in SLO county. You have a well put-together site, and I've enjoyed surfing thru it. I would enjoy tagging along and telling some 4x4 stories (some the same as fish stories) with you on a future outing of yours.

I'm really impressed with your web site.Have put it on my list of favorites. We'll soon be moving to Golden Valley, AZ between Bullhead City and Kingman, when the move is out of the way, we'll be checking out your runs and perhaps we can hook up with your club somewhere.
We have an active club in Bullhead, the Bullhead 4 Wheelers with the same wheelin' priorities as you. Number 1 - keeping our roads and trails open!
If you're ever in the Laughlin, NV (casinos), Bullhead City, AZ (Colorado River) area let me know and we'll set up some runs. We have a few challenges, some spectacular high desert country roads and trails and a great love of our sport.
Got your web site from an e-mail written by Lynn Stokes to the LUN.

G'day, Pleased I found your site. As you see, I live in Tassie, Australia. We have tracks 10 mins. from every town & city in the state and we love it. Most of our driving is in the rainforest with a lot of mud. Not much rock really which is quite different from the U.S. We also have a lot of coastal driving which is basically non stop quicksand. We have one famous track called Southport lagoon which is a bit of both, we've had clubs with more than 20 vehicles stuck for 3 months at a time - tricky stuff. Anyway, just thought I'd let you know a bit about the area. Great site & good to be looking at an up to date site for a change! Catcha later mate.

Visit the SLO area 5-6 times a year. Most recently two days ago. Took the Lopez Lake road then the road to Pozo, got to the fork that branches three ways. Did not know where to go from here. Is there a way to get maps of trails inclusive to the SLO area?

Just wanted to say, love the web page! I was searching "Jeeps only" for a club site for Oregon, but didn't find any, so started browsing. Had a great vacation when I was young in San Louis Obispo, so the location caught my eye. I'm in the process of building my XJ, and love to see others enjoying their Jeeps as much as I do! If anyone happens to know of a club in Oregon, I'd love some info. It's a Jeep thing.....you understand!

This is Steve Shearman, from the Discovery Channel in Los Angeles. I work for the production arm that makes "Junkyard Wars" (AKA "Scrapheap Challenge"), and we're working on a new program I wonder if you guys might be interested in. It's a competition to design, build, and race the best off-road vehicle. Teams are given money to build their creations and then flown to England to race them on an enormous obstacle course. Perhaps you could help me - it would be great if we could get some sort of notice on your website - do you think this could be possible?
I'm particularly keen to get a team from the Caribbean. Would you know anyone who might be interrested? We're looking for 4X4 Clubs, Off-Road Clubs, Engineer Institutes/Universities, etc. I've attached an information sheet about the show which you can feel free to forward to whoever you like. The website for the show is https://www.ultimatemachinecombat.tv You can reach me at this email ([email protected]) or at +1 818 817 5224 (GMT -8:00). I would really appreciate any contacts you could give me. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for your time

Hi there! Years too late, I've got a 4X4 truck and the debt to prove it... Looking FWD 2 some FWD fun w/ the club! Trail maintenence would be fun and rewarding on many levels for us and digging in the dirt is RIGHT up the boy's alley. I'm ready for various wheelin' n' campin' excursions, sgl. tent to trailer. 1-2 family sized tents available if any trailer only folks want to go w/ the group where trailers can't go.

Got the stock Cherokee, started some low key 'wheeling and now want to start upgrading. Way too many choices out there for lifts, lockers, tire sizes, ect. Would really like to get some solid input on what works. Also would like to go wheelin with other folks so I can push it alittle and not have to walk all the way back if I break it.

Just hoping to possibly link up with other Suzuki owners who have survived the trial of wiring a Suzuki Sidekicks lights for connection to a standard 4 wire trailer light harness. With independent turn signals, and after several other owners attempts the lights wiring is proving a challenge to me and finding the info. I need is proving an even bigger challenge. If anyone can head me in the right direction for info. I will be very grateful. Thanks for your time and consideration. John Cooper P.S. I came across your name some years back while visiting my son in Paso Robles.
