I installed a Ford T-18 4 speed transmission, with 6.34-1 compound low. Ford 9 inch rear axle, with Detroit Locker, 31 spline Currie Ent. Flanged axles, 4.11 R&P, 8"X15" American Eagle Aluminum Wheels. It is riding on 32" BFG'S. The front axle is still a stock Dana 30, new diff and seals, and 4.10 R&P. I added some High-back buckets, rebuilt tilt steering column, full roll cage, S.S. dash. A new Best Top Super-Top, with soft doors, new fender flares and exterior lights etc.
I stripped the entire Jeep to bare metal, pounded, beat, and filled, all dents and dings. Sprayed it with really cool looking drab green etching primer. Then a gray sanding primer. I took it to the Pros at VR-1, of Atascadero CA, they finished it in a three step automotive paint. Chevy White, with a white pearl and clear-coat. I had the local Rino-Linings, of San Luis Obispo do there thing on the interior of the Jeep. To make it a little more comfortable, and easy to clean. Plus it seems to look pretty cool.
I will be adding some more stuff soon, the first will be a trail rack, and installing a hot water shower. I am thinking of replacing the Dana 30 with a bigger axle. Either another 9 inch, or Dana 44, with ARB locking diff. I am going to have the seats upholstered soon. Until then this is my Jeep so far.
See Yaa on the trails.
