23 4-wheelin rigs loaded with friends & family ventured out to Coyote Lake the 4th weekend in August. 22 found their way to the Lake in Sierra National forest. 2 returned to a more civilized camp after the days outing. 1 returned after an unfortunate failure of drive line components. All who ventured out encountered the challenges of rock crawling, most equipment and operators met the challenge head on without any major mishaps.
The 20 rigs that made it to Coyote and settled in for the weekend were treated to an amazing gathering at a campfire Saturday night. The lake offered up a few trout to those persistent enough to catch them. (Weekend Fishing KING: Ben!) The skies were transparent to a bright milky way and half moon that rose late in the night. Swimming, hiking, sleeping, eating, laughing it was all there.
Some had to return to the Coast Sunday. Some stayed at Coyote for just one more night. Some moved on to Swamp lake and places yet to be determined. Good fun for all!
Special thanks to Tom who really worked hard to put this trip
together for us all and sharing the info. with the entire club
via the newsletter three months running before the trip AND via
e-mail! (All just as his newest baby was getting ready to be and
being born!) THANKS TOM (and Julie)!

THE SEARCH IS ON FOR A NEW NEWSLETTER EDITOR!
Since my new job requires that I work every Wednesday night until 11 p.m. and since I now live a LONG way from the meeting site, it's kinda silly to try to keep this thing up with so little club contact. After nearly two years, I feel like I've done what I can. Maybe someone else has some great new ideas for the newsletter? Please give Jenni B. a call ASAP , or e-mail me or write. I'll give you all my electronic files, etc. (includes images of club runs, club vehicles, members, etc.)

An update note from your webster
-Our great editor in chief, Jennifer, has had to give up her efforts on the news letter. With a new job and recent move out of the area she felt she could no longer fulfill her commitments and will be breaking in our new editor Debbie K. Debbie has vouleenteered to step in for Jenny until elections. Its important to support Debbie in her new position.
Im sure I speak for all in thanking Jenny for her hard work and the great newsletter she has put out for us.
